Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Nappanee, Indiana
The Nappanee Noon Kiwanis Club is a part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
We meet every Tuesday at 11:45 starting with a buffet lunch at the Dal-Mar Catering Banquet Hall, 159 East Lincoln Street in Nappanee. Every meeting includes a guest speaker presenting a program of general interest. Speakers range from our Mayor speaking on the "State of the City" to our County Prosecutor speaking about issues of drug enforcement to recognition of local high school athletes.
We have fun and fellowship at our meetings. It's also a great place to network with the many community leaders who are members of the Kiwanis Club. We strive to complete our meetings by 1:00 so that members can return to their work place in a timely fashion.
The men and women of our service club help to raise money through fund raisers like our Rib-Eye Steak booth at the Elkhart County Fair and the Nappanee Apple Festival. Part of the funds raised go towards projects such as the support for the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Other funds raised go toward five scholarships for graduating seniors at NorthWood High School and for support of the Nappanee Boys & Girls Club. Our international by-laws require that all monies raised in the community must go back into the community.
Our members also volunteer their time for other community service projects. We ring the bell at Christmas to raise money for Open Door, collect gifts for the bingo games at the LuAnn Nursing Home and volunteer leadership for the local scouting program.
We invite any person over the age of 18 to join us. If you have an interest in serving our youth and/or your community, you'll enjoy working with and interacting with the men and women of our service club. You will have an opportunity to serve your fellow citizens and especially the young people in our community.
